A view of the culture war

Here's a quote from the incomparable Mark Steyn, regarding the Pew poll which assures us that only 26% of young Muslim men in the US think suicide bombing is justifiable:

"Judging from the media coverage, America is as anxious to normalize that 26% as Sweden's Chancellor of Justice was when he closed down an investigation into the Grand Mosque of Stockholm on the grounds that calls to go forth and kill "the brothers of pigs and apes" - i.e. you know who - were part of what he called "the everyday climate in the rhetoric that surrounds this conflict". In other words, if you threaten to kill people often enough, it will be seen as part of your vibrant rich cultural tradition - and, by definition, we're all cool with that. That provides very useful cover for serious mischief makers."

Why is it that the so-called "liberals" in Western Society as a whole- and the US specifically- are so confident that we have nothing to fear from Islam? It's akin to those Europeans that felt Hitler was just some weirdo in Germany.

But it's amazing that now, 70 years on, another group can say the same things as Hitler, and we, knowing what Hitler did with the opportunity, ignore it.

Of course, they also ignore everything the Islamofascists say about other "infidels" i.e. the rest of us.

Ah well. It'll be interesting to see how things shake out when these people pull their heads out of the sand and look around.

Child porn

Here's a video, which I hat-tip LGF for. Charles there did a pile of work to ensure that this video is accesible. It seem that the slimy-Jew-hating fascist that originally posted it on youtube won't allow anyone else to post it, for "copyright" reasons.

It's just amazing what these "people" will do to indoctrinate their children.

I'll also tip my hat to LGF commentor ThorX, who provided the quote from Golda Meir which now adorns the site.

Good thing they won't tolerate it

A story from the AP, via Yahoo. Darfur is a hell-hole, thanks to a Muslim government
and it's allies. They arm the militia, in order to slaughter the infidels, and then the militia turn to rape.

Man, I'm shocked. Never would have seen that coming, eh?

And the government denies that it's happening. Another big surprise. Or maybe not. Under Islamic "law" it's almost impossible to prove rape. Recall that women are lesser humans than men, so you need more female witnesses- I believe the ratio is 2-1. So if you could even catch the animals that did it, there wouldn't be enough evidence: in this instance, 7 women against 10 men. Nope, not enough proof.

The one positive of the whole thing is that the government, once they bother trying to find rapists- and actually succeed- does flog them. That's not a bad idea.

I wonder how long it'll be before N.O.W. steps in here. After all, rape is A Bad Thing. Except in places where it would be wrong for westerners to criticise the local traditions. Multi-culturalism is more important than women's rights.

Sometimes I despair.

Ugh

Well, for anyone out there who doubts what some of us say about Islam and/or Iran, here's a nice little post: It appears that a woman who chooses not to wear her veil in public will receive some... encouragement.

Another hat tip to LGF.

Well, Duh

Here's a nice little article on what a great thing it was for the world when Pelosi and the Nancy-Boys went to Syria.

What a shock. Do the people on the left have any idea of what "consequences" are? I guess that's a stupid question given their whole philosophy. In this instance, however, it should have been pretty clear that it would be A Bad Thing for the Speaker to visit a country which the President refuses to talk to. A country which supports terrorism. As I previously posted on my other blog, this was possibly a violation of the Logan Act, which forbids anyone other than the president to conduct foreign policy.

But I suppose that she accomplished her mission: She embarrassed Bush and undermined the US. The fact that she might have gotten actual people who actually believe in Democracy hurt or killed is pretty much irrelevant. As long as she helped her party.

In a way, I almost wish we would go islamist. Just so that morons like Pelosi and Reid could see the consequences of their stupidity.

Electoral congratulations, Islamic style

[Hat tip:littlegreenfootballs]

So here we have a bunch of Islamists weighing in on the elections in France. Nothing to worry about here. They don't really mean it, I'm sure. Not like they've ever followed through on a threat before, right?

Islamists are like leftists: They tell you how to vote, and toss in a few comments about how bad things will get if you don't comply. And then they take action to ensure bad things happen, so they'll be correct.

A cool site for infidels

Here we go. I just found out about this, from Gates of Vienna, of course. Warmest regards and a hat tip to them.

Go read it. Tell your friends. Tell your enemies. Tell everyone.

Here it is again. This is a site that we all should become intimately familiar with.

New Idea

Well. I just this morning had an idea for a great title. I was reading an article about a compound in New York inhabited by Muslims that conduct a lot of paramilitary activities. And as I wrote about it on my usual blog here, I had a great idea for a title. So, I ran right out and secured the name here.

Don't know how much I'll do with this one, but I think the idea is good. It will, in my initital concept, be used as a "clearing house" for articles I come across on Islamic terrorism, other aspects of Islam, and some musings of my own.

So here goes. Hope it'll work out.
